Don't Wait Until You Need Your Network

We often hear that networking is essential to career success. But what if the goal isn’t simply to build a network, but to build a community?

Join Minnesota PRSA for a Career Coffee conversation about building meaningful professional relationships that go beyond exchanging business cards or connecting on LinkedIn.

 Together, we’ll explore:

  • The difference between networking and building genuine professional relationships
  • Why you should build your community before you need it
  • How to ask for help without making relationships feel transactional
  • Ways to be useful to the people in your professional community
  • How to maintain relationships when work gets busy
  • How relationships can open doors to new opportunities, perspectives and career paths
  • What we can learn from professionals who have built strong communities around them

Your career is more than the job you have today. The people you build relationships with along the way can be part of what comes next.

This is an in-person event. Space is limited.

Agenda:

8 - 8:30 a.m. - Check in, breakfast and networking
8:30 - 9:30 a.m. - Panel discussion
You are welcome to continue networking after the formal program
