One conversation can change a career.

The late Margaret Ann Hennen, APR, Fellow PRSA, believed every person deserved to feel welcomed, valued and connected. Whether she was introducing a new PRSA member, encouraging someone to pursue a leadership opportunity or simply asking a thoughtful question, Margaret Ann had a remarkable gift for helping others recognize their potential.

Join Minnesota PRSA on Margaret Ann’s birthday, Sept. 28, for Making Connections, an evening inspired by her legacy of generosity, mentorship and service to the profession. This interactive gathering will celebrate Margaret Ann in the way she would have appreciated most: by bringing people together for meaningful conversations that build relationships, share wisdom and strengthen our profession.

Through a series of rotating small-group discussions, students, emerging professionals, mid-career communicators and seasoned leaders will explore topics including career growth, ethical decision-making, leadership and the power of paying it forward. Whether you’re seeking advice, sharing your experience or hoping to expand your professional network, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives and valuable connections you can carry throughout your career.

Please join us in celebrating Margaret Ann’s legacy through authentic conversations with people who care about the future of our profession.

Registration is required. All proceeds will benefit Minnesota PRSA’s Student Fund, which gives PRSSA members opportunities to attend chapter events at no cost.

If you'd like to increase your contribution to the Student Fund, please follow this link to make an additional donation, or add it to your cart at check out.

Supporting and encouraging future generations within our profession has always been a core tenet for our organization. As a chapter, we fundamentally believe in the value students receive from connecting with professionals and learn about the profession outside the classroom.

To support this belief, Minnesota PRSA events are open to all PR and Communications students and regularly put on student specific programming. Unfortunately, cost can be a barrier for many students to attend chapter programming as well as the student specific events such as the PR North conference. Even with reduced student rates, costs can range anywhere from $10 - $100.

That is where you can help.

More than a decade ago, the Minnesota PRSA Student Fund was created as a resource for students to be able to engage more deeply with the chapter and our membership.

In order to continue offering this resource to our students, please consider donating to replenish this fund for the upcoming year. Any amount will greatly aid our ability to continue offering connection, education and engagement opportunities for the next generation of PR and Communication professionals.

Please join us in keeping our Student Fund strong by making a donation today.
