Good communication starts with understanding people.
October is all about bringing people together — and Minnesota PRSA has a marathon of great opportunities to do just that.
On Oct. 9, we’re doing something that doesn’t happen very often: celebrating the 95th birthday of longtime member and chapter trailblazer Lowell Ludford. It’s a chance to honor someone who has helped shape our chapter and connect generations of communicators.
Then, on Oct. 21, we’re raising a glass at the annual Oktoberfest Communicators Happy Hour, bringing communicators from several organizations together for one night of conversation, connection and community.
October is also PRSA’s DEI Month — a chance to pause, listen, learn from different perspectives and think about how we can make our organizations and communications more inclusive. We hope you’ll join us for our annual DEI Forum on Oct. 26 and dig into the DEI resources available on our website.
My October ask: show up and expand your circle. Meet someone new. Listen to a different perspective. Build a bridge beyond your usual network. New connections can lead to new ideas, partnerships and friendships — and that makes all of us stronger.
